Register Early

All coaches and managers must be registered in PlayFootball before Round 1. Please make sure your registration is completed as early as possible to avoid any last-minute issues.

Working with Children Check (WWCC)

Under NSW law, all soccer coaches and managers must hold a current and valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) before participating in any child-related role within the club.

Who needs a WWCC

Why is it required?

• It is a legal requirement in NSW for anyone working in child-related roles
• It helps ensure a safe environment for all players
• It protects both you and the club
• It is required by Football NSW and our club policies

How to apply

1. Apply online via Service NSW
2. Select Volunteer when completing the application
3. Nominate our soccer club as the organisation (Sylvania FC)
4. Visit Service NSW to verify your identity

After applying

• You will receive a WWCC number
• Please submit your WWCC number via SSFA Shared Services
• You must not commence coaching or managing until your WWCC is valid and verified

All coaches and managers of U6–U18 teams must have a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) at the time of registration. If you don’t already have one, now is the time to organise it.

Over 18s teams: If your team consists entirely of players aged 18 or over, you can apply for a WWCC exemption through PlayFootball.

Match Sheets & Game-Day Access

Only registered coaches and managers will have access to manage match sheets and other game-day activities through PlayFootball. We strongly encourage teams to register more than one manager wherever possible — this ensures there is always someone with access to the match sheet if a manager is unavailable on game day.
